Julie Smith Valentine

I've been teaching voice and acting in a private studio since 1979 (Julie Valentine Studio of the Performing Arts). I've also worked in the adoption field: creating and running an adoption resources web site (Adopting.com), and teaching and lecturing on transracial adoption, post adoption issues and running an Ethiopian Heritage Camp. I moved to Livermore in June 2022 after living in Palo Alto most of my life. I'm enjoying the slower pace of living in the East Bay.

I have such fond memories of choir, Madrigals and doing theatre at Paly. I returned to the Haymarket Theatre about 10 years ago to watch my kids sing and perform and it was so much fun to be back in there where I have so many memories!! I see the ghosts of all of us still hanging around out in back, in the greenroom and in the house. It was so much smaller than I remember it!! The new theatre is now being used (it's great!) but my heart will always be in that old, musty theatre where I developed my love of the performing arts.
