Jerry Fulton passed from this life the afternoon of July 7, 2015, at his home in Cottonwood, Calif. Jerry was born in Clarendon and spent the formative years of his life throughout Texas and many areas of the Southwest. He was a Pampa High School graduate from the class of 1962. Jerry received Bachelor Degrees in Agriculture from West Texas State University and from New Mexico State University. Wherever Jerry went, he left a lasting positive impact and touched the lives of many individuals. Jerry always made sure to take time to actively participate in his community and mentor the youth of the area. He was extremely passionate about agriculture and teaching and imparted his knowledge to youth throughout his life. In 1990, Jerry came to Hayfork, CA, with his wife and four children to be the Chief Executive Officer and manager of the Trinity County Fair. He was employed in that position for twenty-four years. Jerry devoted his time, energy, and talents to the betterment of Trinity County through various community organizations and activities. He retired eleven months ago to Cottonwood, CA with his wife, Dorothy.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife Dorothy and seven children (and spouses): JLee (Donna), Marianne Jones (Audy), John, April, Chris, Lee, and K.C. Fallon (T.J.). In addition to eleven grandchildren: Ryan Fulton, Stephanie Owen, Matthew Jones, Kaylee, Logan, and Wyatt Fulton. Dante, Reese, and Joci Bertain, Amia George, and Sienna Fulton. Great grandson, Kreed Owen. Jerry is also survived by his older brother, Neil. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lillie Fulton, and his sister, Sue Steinbridge.
A viewing service was held on July 9, 2015, at Allen and Dahl. 2030 Howard St. Anderson, Calif. A grave site service was held on July 10, 2015, at the Cottonwood Cemeter.

With a sad heart I read this posting of Jerry Fulton's death. Jerry was such a neat guy. I remember him always smiling, as soft spoken and pleasant. What a wonderful story of his life as a family man. I can just imagine he carried that smile and pleasant demeanor with him all the way to the west coast and from what the obituary conveyed, he was loved and appreciated by all he knew. Knowing Jerry was just one more reminder of all the blessings from being with the class of '62 at PHS; will forever be grateful........

Jerry was a wonderful classmate who consistently approached you with a smile and pleasant attitude. Hopefully his family wiill accept his passing as the Lords will and appreciate all the contributions he made to his community. My heart goes out to all his friends and family.

It is so hard to loose another old friend and classmate. Jerry was a happy and fun guy in high school and from reading about him in his later life, he kept up the good will and helping others and being a good friend. I was saddened to hear about another classmate that has left us. I remember Jerry as such a funny, full of life person. I spent lots of time with him at the rodeo grounds. I was constantly amazed at the many stunts that Jerry pulled while spending time with him. I know that his family as well as his classmates will miss him.

This is such sad news to hear about the passing of Jerry. He was one of my best friends during our times at Junior High and High School. I lost touch with him and his family when I went into the Air Force in 1961. I did contact him about 10 years or so ago via email and we communicated several times When I saw this anouncment my heart dropped and I immeditaly began to remember all our fun and good times together during our school days. Jerry was a best friend and had a huge big heart. He will be missed !

We alll seemed to agree Jerry was such a neat guy. I don't think I ever saw anything but a huge smile from him. He was at WT with half of our high school class and he was always the same , a smile and a gentleman. One time I rode home with a car full of Pampa kids and the driver scared me to pieces and I remember Jerry saying to me, "It;s ok, I will get you home safely ." I know he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
