From the Pampa News, April 28, 1986:

Zearl Devoll died April 27, 1986 near Altus, OK, in a head-on collision.  His son, Doug Devoll, was the driver of the vehicle and was also killed in the collision.

Zearl married Glenda Parker in 1968 in Pampa and was a member of the Pampa Masonic Lodge and Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jackie Devoll and Patty Devoll, both of Pampa; two brothers, L.D. Devoll and Vernon (Curly) Devoll, both of Pampa; and a sister, Connie Tauton of Louisiana.
