Left Panama in October 1969 to attend The Academy of Aeronauatics at La Guardia AP NY. Instead was drafted into the US Army and became a Military Police & Correctional Specialist. Stationed in Ft. Clayton CZ from 1971 thru 1976 during which I made the All Army fast pitch softball team and All Army Tennis Team Twice. "Thanks to Lou Eversley". With the asssistance of Cecilio Williams and the encouragement of many I left the military to attend North Idaho College on a full tennis scholarship in 1977. Our tennis team won the region and went to the NJCAA nationals. Graduated with an Associate of Arts in Political Science and Communication. In 1978,I transferred to Willamette University having been awarded another tennis scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, Hispanic International Studies and Spanish Literature. Tried teaching and did not like it so I decided to pursue a career sales. Worked for a couple of insurance companies in the NW and in 1982 was offered the opportunity to move to Jacksonville Florida, which I did. The project failed and I landed on a Merita Bread Truck. Moved to Los Angeles in 1992 where I became a Tennis Instructor. In 1993 went to work for AT&T as a bilingual account executive. In 1994 accepted a position in Miami with AT&T Multinational Sales with empahsis on the Caribbean Market. In July of 1995,I accepted the position of Director of Marketing & Sales with AT&T of the Virgin Islands and moved to St. Croix US Virgin Islands where I currently reside. In 1996,I participated in a special Mini MBA program with AT&T and received a Mini MBA in International Management. In 1998, accepted a early retirement package from AT&T and accepted the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at Vitel Cellular a local wireless company. In 2004 became a victim of a corporate down size when Innovative Communications Corporation absorbed Vitel Cellular. Took a year off, taught Tennis and did sales consultion. In 2005 accepted the position of Sales Manager with Tropical Shipping Co. In 2007 I was asked by the Virgin Islands Tennis Association to travel with the VI Tennis team to Guatemala where they participated in the Davis Cup Tennis competion. Later that year I was asked to accompany the VI Tennis Team to Rio de Janeiro Brasil where they participated in the Panamerican Games. Shortly after my return to St. Croix, I decided to quit corporate America and have since created Envision Plus LLC. a holding company for Stan's Scanning Services and Big Island Tennis. I currently scan paper documents and covert them to digital formats, teach tennis and travel & participate in tennis tournaments.
