Richard Kincaid, age 68 of Grand Tower, passed away at 1:45 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at home.

He was born September 23, 1949 in Royal Oak, Michigan, the son of Richard Sr. and Nellie (Fardan) Kincaid. He married Melanie Fisher on October 25, 1974.

Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. After returning he was a diesel mechanic until retiring in 2006. Richard loved to surf and found this passion while living in California.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Kincaid of Grand Tower; children, Sarah Kincaid of Grand Tower, Joshua Kincaid of Grand Tower, James Kincaid of Carbondale, Richard Kincaid, III of California, Helena Tupling of California; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenny Kincaid, Larry Kincaid, Paulie Kincaid, Jimmy Kincaid, all of California; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sr. and Nellie Kincaid; one brother.

Per Richards wishes he will be cremated and scattered in the ocean so his love of surfing can continue.
