My story as of 2010
Went to college for awhile...then started working in jobs...travelled a bit. Moved to the Clarkston Area. Married to my first Husband in 1974, then divorced in mid eighties. Married to John. I have 2 daughters both in college. I live in Ortonville, Mi and own a Native Plant Nursery called American Roots. Travelled to Australia and New Zealand in 1988. Married my current husband in early 1989, moved here to Ortonville in 1994. Developed an interest in Wildflowers and Native Plants during that time and started American Roots, my Native Plant Nursery in 2004. I and the nursery have been written about a few times, most recently in the Detroit Free Press on August 1, 2010. I do talks and presentations to encourage the use of more native plants in our landscapes. I currently serve on the Board of the Wildflower Association of Michigan and have recently been elected to the National Board of Wild Ones.
