Comments:

After graduating from Carrick High School, I worked for a concrete contractor for several years.
Next I enrolled and graduated from Penn Technical Institute in Electronic Engineering.
I accepted a position with Jones and Laughlin’s Research Laboratory (designing electronic systems) for about eight years, until the collapse of J&L Laboratory

I then accepted a position at the ALCOA Technical Center for three years, after which I accepted a position with Penn State University's Applied Science Laboratory in State College PA; where I stayed on for eight years, simultaneously attending school at Penn State for a Degree in Electrical Engineering.

While working at the Applied Science Research Lab, (Which required a Top Secrete Security Clearance) I engaged in electronic development work for the Defense Department / NATO. I then left
Penn State Universiry, and accepted a position with an Engineering firm back in Pittsburgh, Contraves Goerz Corporation, here we designed computerized machine controls and industrial robotic systems:
(For Ford Motor Co. and IBM.)

I then accepted a new position with the ALCOA Technical Center; this time I stayed on for about eight years. There I developed an Infrared Radiation Pyrometer, for non-contact temperature measurement and control. I then developed a new, very high resolution Ultrasonic Detection Circuit which finds application today in Aircraft Manufacturing Inspection (NDT. Non Destructive Testing) and in Medical Imaging Instrumentation (Sonogram / Ultrasound). I have two patents in Analog circuit design.

I left ALCOA to accept a position with Tollgrade Communications, where I designed low power radio transmitter and receiver circuitry, application in the telephone and television industry.

I have been lifting weights most of my life and I am still active in this pastime. I also enjoy making small motorcycle trips around Pennsylvania; and enjoy doing small concrete, and stone projects.

Favorite music is Classical; favorite composer is Mozart followed by Beethoven. However,
I especially enjoy music from the Baroque period. I have lived in Gibsonia PA. for the past 25+ years.

P.S. Have been married and divorced several times.

Jerry R.
