Can't post this on Facebook because of customers/colleagues that might see it.

Have any of you ever been to Mexico City? I have been there many times for work. Why is it that of all the customers in the world only the ones in hell seem to screw things up so badly that they need a site visit?

Why don't my customers in Hawaii, Amsterdam or Australia get into these messes?

It's funny but I have to use "french" to describe Mexico. So excuse my french but Mexico City is a shit hole. No wait they would need two upgrades to be a merely a shit hole. GRRRRRRRRR. Sorry for the off topic venting. :)

I can't wait to see everyone.

OMG!!! Paul, I have been to Mexico and have seen the clothing stores....why do all the shop keepers LOVE blonde haired, blue eyed girls? We had to take out a few, becuase they wouldn't stop touching the girls hair....creepy! I agree with you Don, HELL HOLE, but they do have some damn good tequila! The best part of the trip is coming back over the border.....God bless the USA!!!!!!

Paul, there are still some of those places in New Mexico and PA that wear stir-up pants. And those girls think they look damn good! I remeber most of 89, which is surprising, because I was introduced to alcohol long before 89.....mmmmm beer....it is the past few years i have a hard time with....maybe the lasting effects of to much alcohol!

Andrea, I could not see why stir-ups are banned, maybe they are using the old hand book, the one from the 80's??!!!

Gina, my youngest daughter has a pair of Jellies and loves them.....wants them in all colors! She was so born in the wrong era!!!!!

Lois, senior skip day, somewhere I have the pictures.....we drank so much beer that day. Was it Chris's truck....maybe Ronnie's? I remember the tree, I remember swimming in the creek and that we were terririfed of being busted! I had to go to work that afternoon and when me and sam got back to the house, he told me to drink lots and lots of water.....it will help you out. I think I was twice as drunk as when I got home. My mom asked why we were all wet, i told her that the school opened up the pool for everyone. She believed me......oh boy did we have fun that day! If our kids read this, they will know that we had a blast our senior year and we didn't turn out to bad. We still went on to live productive lives and contributing members of society.

Don, I loved Jitty Joe's. It is hard to find a really good ice cream place. you asked about the most random fact from 89 we remembered: Here it is:

Because
U
Deserve
What
Every
Indiviual
Should
Enjoy
Regulary

i told you i was introduced to alcohol early!

i am not sure about the reunion....I am still up in the air. My hubby will be hunting up in Buffalo (can't ask him to skip that). We will see, i still have some time to decided.

Amy, the Budweiser thing I didn't even know. Just the FORD - Found On Road Dead, is the only one I knew. Maybe it was Ron's truck on SR skip day.

Donald,Star Wars Check??? And what do you do for work?? In Mexico? I live I guess close to Mexico, but have not yet got to go. Catalina Island will be first. Soon I hope.

Lois,
I'm a tech support manager / Field service engineer in the broadcast industry. How's that for vague?? I work for a small company so we wear different hats on occasion. I used to be a field service engineer, but when my daughter was born I wanted to stop all the traveling so I took the manager position. On occasion I have to put my field service hat back on. Like now.

Don't be in a hurry to get to Mexico. If/when you do get there, the only things I can recommend are:
1. avoid the cities, especially Mexico City. There is a lot of beautiful scenery, but only if you get out of the cities. I recommend the drive between Mexico City and Acapulco. AMAZING (if you disregard all the military personnel with machine guns equipped with grenade launchers that hang out at the toll booths).
2. Do not just go a couple of miles over the border and stop. Boonie will, i'm sure, back me up on this. Any border town is a shit hole. Especially Tijuana. Go a bit farther south. Look for farm land if you can find it. Things seem to be nicer near good farm land.

Sorry to ramble, but I'm in M.C. now and hating every minute of it. Did I mention I'm staying in the Zona Rosa district? Nicest hotels in the city. Large gay bar population. If you thought American homosexual guys were flamboyant you should see the Mexican versions. Nice people though! :) Oh good coffee too.

Every border town in Mexico is a shithole. Espically Cuidad Juarez. If you have not been following the news there have been over 4,000 murders in Juarez this year alone. Just last week two men were kidnapped and mutilated and dismembered. They were murdered in Mexico and their bodies were brought back across the Rio Grande and dumped in El Paso Texas. The men were drug runners who fucked up and lost a load of coke. I think the load was in the neighborhood of 30 kilos. Stay out of any bordertown now a days. People get kidnapped everyday for all kinds of reasons. Espically women and young girls. In the last 4 months 4 17-24 year old girls have gone missing in Nuevo Laredo. 3 of them were american going to Mexico to party.

Mexico City is a dump. There are over 20 million people living there. The living conditons are poor and the city has not been modernized since Hernan Cortez was there in the 1500's. People get kidnapped there too. Every drug cartel is vying for power over all of Mexico. The border towns have already fallen. The capital is next.

The interior of Mexico is nice but it also remote. I have been there. Love the jungle. As for the resort towns Acapulco, Porta Villarta, Cozumel, etc....they are nice but just as nasty. Mexicans waiting in the shawdows to rob American tourists.

Enough about Mexico. Hall and Oates are gaining speed. Watch out the elections are less than a month away.

Gina I just want to know one thing. Did you give the donkey a treat when he delivered my check? I think that is the appropriate gratuity even if it is an official US postal service donkey.

Marie Chesniak (Timinski)

OMG! All the memories.

And, yes, my kids better not read any of this.

I remember a lot of those things that everyone listed except Senior Skip Day. I think I was a good girl and went to school that day.

Amy, what I remember about Guns and Roses is us going up to the airport, hunting them down.
I wish you were coming in to go to the reunion. It would have been sooooo much fun! I really hope I get to see you around the holidays.

Hope everyone has a good time at the reunion! And, take lots of pictures!

Things we wished we learned in High School....
Me - I wish I learned how not to accumulate so much stuff.
I just moved this weekend and it was a nightmare. I still have the decorations from inside my locker.

Anybody else?

11/06/09 04:22 PM #281

Paul Boone

I am deeply depressed. I stumped and I stumped and I stumped some more and to no avail. All the hard work I did on the campaign. I feel as if I have been cheated. I fell lower than Kunta Kinte at a Merle Haggard concert.

The elections were earlier this week and Hall and Oates lost by an over whelming margin. There are over 6 billion people in the world and about 4 billion of them could have voted in the election. The underdog team of Hall and Oates could not recapture the magic of the 1860 presidential election when the ultimate underdog Abraham Lincoln beat the heavy favorite Stephen Douglas. All the results are in and here are the numbers:

God and Jesus: 3,999,999,997

Hall and Oates: 3

Crimminny jibb jibb....even their parents didn't vote for them. Truly a sad event has taken place in my life. I am going to wallow in my emotinal pain. I will drown myself and sorrows in Irish whiskey.

Congrats to the winners. Heaven and all its rewards will stay in the hands of the Almighty heavenly father, God himself. Jesus will stay at his right hand. Hall and Oates will go back to Philly after Darryl takes a short constitutional in the islands. They will work on and release a new album next year. Look for "Philadelphia Moonlite" to be in stores in the summer.

Paul,
I am so glad you live in Texas.
Sometimes I wonder about you. Or what your smoking.
Hope your out of your sorrow before the reunion.

11/09/09 10:30 AM #283

Amy Lapinski (Bartels)

Paul, I am sorry for your lose, you fought a valiant fight and I am sure that Hall & Oates are proud that you are on their side!

Lois, you wonder about what Paul is smoking....do you know what he does for a living???? and how hot that Texas sun is, it has melted his brain and the rest of it has been absorbing "fumes" of the locals!

Marie,
I don't think you did do senior skip day, I do remember chasing a "vehicle" to the airport and really hoping that it was Guns n Roses.....I am not quite sure we would have done had it been them.....hmmmm....life would have been interesting! I am sorry that i am not coming in for the reunion, I just can't seem to make it though, i will give you a call soon to catch up and maybe we can meet in NYC this December! How fun would that be!

Lois,
Do you really still have your locker decorations? Good God woman....throw some things out, will you! I don't think i have anything from high school except my ring and yearbook.

I hope you all take some really good pictures and if you do post them!

Amy, I appreiciate your condolences. Thank you. Hall and Oates will shine their light upon you.

If they cannot be God and Jesus, we can at least cannonize them now. I will be starting a letter writing and e-mail campaign, also a petition will be going around to make this happen. I am going to make Pope Benedict XVI make them saints right now. Please come one come all and join in this triumphant cause.

Anyway, Lois Amy is right the Texas sun is hot. I do have a stressful job and somedays I am not lucid in my statements. However, those are the days I stay away from modern technology. I usually roll myself up in a rug and hide behind my couch. Catching illegals all night makes for some very insane moments. WOOOO..Ilove it though

I hope to see you all in a few weeks. I say this now because I fear that after the reunion no one and I mean no one will be on this fabulous website. Thanks again Linda.

I know the drinks at the reunion will be complimentary, but you all can buy me one anyway. Mainly for the fact that I couldn't be any cooler even if I were twins....WOOO
