I went to Saint Olaf College in Northfield, MN for my BA in physics, and then spent a year with the Lutheran Volunteer Corps in Washington, DC (I had an office next to Ollie North!) 17 years of school wasn't enough for me, so I went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for a Ph.D. in physics. I was a postdoctoral researcher at the U of MN in Minneapolis for three years and then spent four years on the frozen plains of North Dakota, teaching physics at Minot State University in Minot, ND. I have been back in Platteville since the fall of 2006 and am a lecturer in the engineering physics at UW-P. My only dependents are my two cats, Tuxedo and Mr. Tibbles.
