Graduated Maryland in '74. Became a land developer in Potomac (C.I. Mitchell and Best Co.), have owned an Environmental Restoration Company (wetlands, stream restoration, shoreline erosion, native plant nursery, etc.) since 1991.
Some people have asked, so I will provide the website of the business I founded,Environmental Quality Resources, www.eqrLLC.com. It's been incredible working on improving our natural systems. I have been involved in large stream restoration work where totally degraded streams are now home to a new spectrum of aquatic life. We've created thousands of new acres of wetland habitat, and built or improved hundreds of stormwater facilities.
Surprisingly, I've even invented some products, which actually have value in my field of work. I started EcoDepot as a products company to manufacture and distribute these products (biodegradable tree shelters, coir tree mats, biodegradable planting pots, water quality control systems). It's been a lot of fun developing these crazy things.
In retirement I am developing a new stotmwater system that will automatically release stored water in retention ponds, to create more flood storage. Will be synced with the National Weather Service and controlled over cell data signals.
We live in Edgewater, MD, with a beautiful view of the South River. (golf and boating are my preferred activities ).
