1958–2018

Jorgina Penrod Hiss passed away at age 59, on March 31, 2018, after battling cancer.

Jorgina was born June 6, 1958, in Provo, Utah, to Sheldon and Delores Penrod.

She graduated from Provo High School in 1976. On May 28, 1977, she married David Hiss in the Provo Temple for time and all eternity.

Grandma Gina adored the time she spent with her grandkids at the pool. She loved being on the boat and camping with her family. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her happy place was and will always be Disneyland.

Grandma Gina was a devoted employee at UVRMC for 39 years as a Unit Secretary and most recently was Time Keeping Coordinator. She was a friend to all she came in contact with.

She is survived by her husband, David Hiss; children, Casey (Sahra) Hiss, Courtney (Carl) Gressmen, and Clayton (Julie) Hiss; grandchildren, Madison, Ryan Onna, Maddox, Rigley, Lincoln Hiss, Mckell, Mckenzie, Nolan Barney, Paislee Gressmen, Aislyn, Porter, and Bostyn Hiss; mother, Delores Penrod; and siblings, Gordon Penrod, Verla Nelson, and Shellie Raine.

She is preceded in death by her father, Sheldon Penrod; brothers, Kim and Gary Penrod; and a nephew, Ryan Christensen.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 7th, at 11:00 a.m., at the Pioneer 1st Ward, 376 North 700 West, Provo, Utah, where Viewings will be held Friday, April 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment in Provo City Cemetery.
