LAVAUN'S OBITUARY

LaVaun Gene Faulk passed away at home in Lehi, UT from declining health on October 9, 2022. He was born to C. Gene and Francelle D. Faulk on July 3, 1958 in Provo, UT.

He became an Eagle Scout. He served in the Missouri St. Louis Mission for The Church Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints (1976-1978). He married Jeanette F. Morgan on February 14, 1981 in the Salt Lake City Temple and they had 2 sons, Joseph M. Faulk (Annie) and Daniel J. Faulk (Camee).

He graduated from Brigham Young University (Bachelors 1983 and Masters 1986) and taught at Highland Elementary from 1983-2017 where art was his favorite subject. He earned his EdD from Utah State University in 2008. He enjoyed building with his sons and was a General Contractor owning Breckenridge Construction / Sundance Decks.

He and his wife served for the Church as full time missionaries in the Florida Orlando Mission (2018-2020). He was serving as a Family History Church Service Missionary at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his wife, sons, 7 grandchildren, mother, sisters (Genell Davis and Heidi Faulk), and cherished family friends, the Wei Xie (Keeley) family. LaVaun will be remembered for his love of life and family, teaching and story telling, dedicated work ethic, and church service. He influenced many and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be on November 12, 2022 at 10 AM in the Cedar Hollow 6th Ward building at 9681 North 6900 West, Highland, UT 84043.
