Korey Offrett

April 2, 1958 to January 22, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our beloved Korey's passing on January 22, 2024
at the age of 65, after a valiant fight with cancer. We have felt no greater crushing pain than when your heart stopped beating surrounded by your loving family.

We couldn't have asked for a more kind, sweet, thoughtful and compassionate husband and father. He was full of warmth, laughter and pranks and had an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. We were so blessed to have shared his love and it left an everlasting mark on all who were lucky
enough to have know him.

Korey was born April 2, 1958 to DeVar Earl and Mildred Johnson Offret. Korey attended schools in Provo and got a business degree from UVU. In his early years he lived at Wildwood up Provo Canyon. He worked as a Street Maintenance Foreman for the City of Provo for 35 years. He truly loved those he worked with and took great pride in those friendships.

He loved to do many things such as hunting, golfing, fishing, jeeping, music, travel and one of his
favorites, stomping the hills looking for antlers and arrowheads. He had many fun years with his
kids and sweet brother, Lannie and wife JoAnn doing that as an annual tradition. He dearly loved the
Wild Sheep Foundation and was working towards his Full Curl. He had gotten three of the four  sheep and needed his Rocky to complete his goal.

Korey met the love of his life, Randa Lee Brimhall Branam, in 1976 and shared almost 48 years together. They married September 16, 1977. It was beyond a special life together. If you seen one the other was never very far away. They loved each other with every bit of their hearts and souls and never let the other forget it. They shared the love of travel and crazy adventures. What one didn't think of the other one did. They had a special tradition for just the two of them to go away every year on their wedding anniversary. These adventures took them many places from Alaska to Rome,Tahiti to Ireland and every place in between. But it didn't matter where they went as long
as they were holding on to each other.

Korey was preceded in death by his father and mother, DeVar and Mildred Offret. He is
survived by the love of his life, Randa, his children Cole (Mary) Offrett, Kylee (Kyle) Goshorn, his
grandchildren Kyah, Hannah, Olley, Lilly, Indy and his brother Lannie.

In our celebrating Korey's life, we remember a kind man who loved his children, family and friends
profoundly. His legacy will live on through the hearts of his family. We will cherish the times shared
together with him and the memories will live with us forever. May he rest in peace surrounded by
the love he gave so freely and openly on this earth. Thanks to our family and friends for the
outpouring of support. Your thoughts and prayers mean the world to us.

Let us celebrate the wonderful life Korey lived and the beautiful mark he left on our hearts. Your
memory lives with us forever and always. Korey's ashes will be held until a future time when they
will be combined with Randa's and placed inside a boulder at Provo City Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held February 3, 2024 at The Blake Event Center 407 W 100 South,
Provo, Utah between 2pm and 6pm. There will not be a set schedule of services but all are invited
to come and give condolences and also gather and celebrate his life with us.
