Hermion Pierce (McNeill)

Hermion Cecilia Pierce McNeill, 55, of Happy, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, in Amarillo.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, in the University Church of Christ in Canyon with Dr. David Lough, minister, and Brad Thompson, minister at Southwest Church of Christ in Amarillo, officiating. Private interment was under direction of Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

She was born April 12, 1951, in Quanah. She graduated from Quanah High School in 1969. She attended Lubbock Christian University, where she met a dashing pilot, Dudley McNeill. They were married on June 4, 1971. She received her bachelors in English from West Texas State University in 1973. They lived in the Wayside Community and were members of the University Church of Christ in Canyon. She was a homemaker, devoted mother, and loving wife. She was dear to many hearts.

Survivors include her husband, Dudley McNeill of Happy; a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Mary McNeill of Fayetteville, Ark.; two daughters, Amber Weems and husband Taylor, and Hanna McNeill, all of Amarillo; a sister and brother-in-law, Evon and Rudy Wruble of Canyon; her mother, Oleta Pierce of Canyon; and two grandchildren, Kathryn and Ethan McNeill of Fayetteville, Ark.
