Comments:
After high school I moved to Toronto where I worked on a Radio & Television broadcasting degree, then decided it wasn't really where I wanted to be. Moved back to NB & got accepted on a programme for the hospitality industry & 3 months later was working at the Algonquin, in St. Andrews.
Work has taken me all over the place (as far west as Alberta) & in May 2000 enabled me to move to Ireland where I worked for 10 months. After my contract ended in Ireland I moved to the UK, where I have been ever since.
Since moving over here I have lived/worked in over 50 places, from as far south as Jersey in the Channel Islands, to as far North as Glasgow, Scotland - work until recently meant that I was never in one place for longer than 2 months! The up-side was it meant I only worked 8 months a year, got paid for 12 & got to travel around Europe for the rest! (Why did I give up that job? - Oh yeah, love.)
Now we've settled in Nottingham, where I have a 2 year contract, then it'll either be off to Wales (where my partner is from) or back home to Canada. It's looking like Wales is going to win.
