SUSAN T. OSTLING

From BHS I went to ECU with Beth Shimmel and Kristin Moore...had lots of fun for 3 yrs then bolted back to Raleighwood. Started working at GE Mortgage Insurance in 1993 and have been there since. We are now Genworth Financial Mortgage Insurance on Six Forks Rd in Raleigh. While working at GE full-time, I went back to school at night to finish my degree. Married in 1997, had Allison-June in 2002, divorced in 2007. Rough last few years of life, but made it through to a happy "today" with the help of my family, friends and my wonderful daughter. She lights up my life! My dog's pretty terrific too!

- Skipping school to run up to Burger King for a drink and gossip.
- Not being old enough to drive yet and having Jimmy Underwood and Mark Jackson tell me I better be nice to them or they would make me ride the Labushka - the bus.
- Parking on the side streets behind school and running over Jimmy Sarantos foot one day leaving MY parking spot.
- Racing up St. Mary's street in Beth Shimmel's Citation always running late for school and smoking with the windows down so "no one" could smell the smoke - yeah right!
