What a shock, Joanne you have always since elementary school been such a wonderful person to me with your smile, hug and always glad to see me. I remember when we first met at Vista school and we were both so excited to meet someone with the same first name and you let me play with you with your playdoh. The bond was made that day and I still see that big smile and your wonderful laugh everytime I think of you. RIP my friend๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒน

I am currently visiting in California with my friend Susie Squire and discovered that an old friend of mine passed away.  Joanne Walden is truely a treasure to me in my memories. She was a big highlight of my youth. I had loved her like a sister and we used to get a bottle of Boonesfarm Strawberry Wine and for a grand total of $1.00  After consumption of wine we sing songs really loud along with the accompany of Wolfman Jack radio... She had a beautiful singing voice. There was always a handful of us cruising along together at the Red Bluff Park, Joanne drove a mustang and I drove a 1963 Ford Gallexy 500..We could fit 8 of us in my car (befor seatbelt laws) and away we would go...swimming holes, concerts, parties, etc... we would float down the river on hot summer days and sing along the way.. Eventually life took us off to different directions , however, for many years we spoke off and on .  Time and miles never separates friends.. I remember her beautiful smile and her delightful personality..She will always be in my heart and our dear friend Sabrina  Hall Ochoa and I dearly loved her and feel so sad that she is gone now..life is short so treat yourself to your friends befor they leave this earth.. God blessed us with her and I could write forever on how many times we laughed our butts off ..we were happy and free.  May the Lord bless her family and the treasure she was to all of us.. With love, Sincerely, Erna Foss

I was saddened to hear this.  She had  great energy. I remember her smile and her laugh.  I remember when she came to Berrendos school. I sat behind her in math class. She could pop her gum many times. It was amazing. She lived close by.  Our senior year, I'd  give her a ride to school. In the morning, I would drive by her house and  pick her up and we'd go to school. l'll miss her....
