Terry Salmonson, Class of '61, is organizing a Thurston High School Reunion at Mama Mia's Restaurant, 19385 Beech Daly, Redford Township, MI 48240 on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 6 PM.
It is open to all THS Alumni.
If you are interested in coming, send Terry your name, the year you graduated and a check for $15 per person to Terry Salmonson, 215 Antrim, Charlevoix MI 49720.

We just learned that we lost another classmate in October 2025 - Penny Beireis Miller. Penny was living in Ohio. Her sister told of her passing on Facebook's Thurston High School Alumni Association page.

Our hearts are heavy passing of Kathy Johnsen Best on April 17, 2026. Kathy's kindness, sense of humor, goodness, and strength have been an inspiration to all who knew her.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the recent passing of one of our own from Thurston HS Class of ‘62, Karen Vovak Maier. She has been a warrior struggling with MS for years and never letting it get her down! She was an inspiration to all that knew and loved her. Karen never missed a luncheon and was always active on our reunions. After her recent surgery it was just too much for her. Her viewing will be on Sunday 1/11/2026 from 2:00pm 7:00pm at Schrader Howell Funeral Home, 2305 Main St., Plymouth. The mass will be on Monday 1/12/2026 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Council, 47650 N. Territorial.
