Surrounded by his loving family, Jack McKaig (husband of Beth Spikes McKaig) passed away on Father's Day, just five days shy of their 50th wedding anniversary. Here is the link to the obituary honoring Jack and giving the details.

Our hearts and prayers are with Beth and her family and friends.

The Annual Betty Cullen Golf Outing and Dinner on August 11th went very well!  We had great weather for golf and had 4 groups of golfers, including 4 of Betty's relatives.  Betty's son, Jeff, got the longest drive prize for men, and my friend, Doddie got the longest drive for women.    The winning scramble team was Doug Coburn, Sue Morman, John Markiewicz and Jeannie Mc Abee.  Several other classmates got prizes for closest to the pin on four holes, and via a drawing.  The Buffet dinner was great, and several other classmates joined us to make about 32 people.  It was wonderful to catch up with everyone, especially Doug Coburn, Ed and Nancy Dahlka, Roger Hamilton, Bruce Vorce and John Pikkrainen, who we don't get a chance to see very often.

Next year, we will be combining the golf outing with the 55th Reunion.  The outing will be on Friday, September 22nd in the morning and the golfers will have lunch following in the clubhouse.  Golf arrangements have not yet been booked, but we're anticipating that it will be held at Fox Creek in Livonia on Seven Mile Rd., not far from the Reunion Hotel, Embassy Suites.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this year's outing and dinner to make it a great success.  We're looking forward to many more golfers in 2017!
