I keep in touch with Skip Lilyquist/by mail or phone at holidays or birthdays. My wife and I seem to run into Chuck Ratz and Sharon, whenever we shop at Walmart in Brainerd.

I went to Bemidji State for 5 years for art major. I was 2 quarters short of graduating when I quit for a year. Famous last words!!!!

Art teacher/Religion minor I planned on teaching K-12, but I quit to earn money for my Senior exhibit and student teaching.

I worked in a paper factory in St.Paul for a brief stint. Then I taught drivers ed. for 5 years at a professional driving school in St.Paul and Mpls. I knew my heart worked everyday because it pumped like mad. In 1979 I moved back to Longville to help my parents. After my Dad passed away I went to St.Cloud Beauty College. I spent 23 years in Brainerd, MN working as a hair stylist. In 2006 my family moved to Clara City, MN to help out my wife's parents.

In 1986 I got married !!! In 1993 birth of our son.

Actually it's a memory from late summer,while in highschool-Wild Ricing with two of my best friends-Skip Lilyquist and Ken Witthoeft. Those were the good old days! Covered with worms and flies. Wild rice and bugs in every nook and crannie. Boy! Not a care in the world. Just trying to make a little extra spending money.
