Hi, I just thought I'd fill you in on what we've been doing for many years.
Spent about 13 years in Remer working for Remer Oil Co. and for Remer Timber Co. I've been a mechanic my whole life, with a few additions. We moved to Anoka 1982, the purpose of a degree in electronics. I worked full time doing electro-mechanical work for 10 years. I started working construction, driving and mechanical maintenance another 8 years. A friend asked me to come to work at United Rentals, Inc. For a couple of years, then I transferred to the Rochester, Mn. location working in the capacity of a shop mechanic, a total of approx. 7-8 years. One day I asked another friend of mine if they were hiring semi. drivers for daily route deliveries for McNeilus Steel Inc. We were friends in our local Lions International club in Kasson-Mantorville. He said come on in and apply. It is/was a great
job, We travel 5 state area. For 9 years it was a nice job. One day in March 2017, I was on my trailer, assisting the forklift to unload, I fell somehow, on my head, a brain injury, in the hospital at Mayo. I healed well enough with therapy to return to work 6 mos. later in a limited part time doing an inventory position. I/we, Cathy have decided I will
try to continue this work for 2-3 mores. I am retired, this really helps me for ongoing therapy. I am certainly not to good anymore with crowds and noise, though.
