Brenteson, Donald C. age 70, passed away peacefully in Rochester, MN on August 4th, 2016. He was an avid cook, wood carver, polka dancer, hunter and fisherman. He was a Lutheran Lay minister. Don was born in Brainerd, MN and grew up in Becker and Big Lake. He lived on Kodiak Island in Alaska for over 20 years then moved to Washington state for another 15 years. Recently he returned to Minnesota to live.Preceded in death by his parents Clifford E. and Jessie A. Brenteson (Clitty). Survived in death by his 4 children: Jud Brenteson (Bella), Janelle Brenteson, Sara Hultmann, Melissa Stearns (Travis), 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and fiancee, Teri Floodeen. Memorials preferred to the American Diabetes Association. Memorial service is being planned at Faith Lutheran Church in Becker, MN. Details to follow.
