All I ever needed to know about Spanish (and have since forgotten), I learned from Karla Fleck. She gave me one of my few and far between "A's".  I was so envious that she married Mr. Harris (what did he teach??? was he phy-ed or a coach???)  Anyway, he was way too cool and they made such a cute couple.

Hasta que le vea en la reunion en Agosto.

Click on the "Teachers Pages" link on the left side.

Oooops.  I forgot to put the Boys PE Teachers on the site.

Go all the way to the bottom and it's the last picture.

Sorry about that.

Yes, Mr. Harris was a hunk.

One of my favorites was Mr. Loundsberry. He gave me a really hard time in high school and was the same at Rock Valley (Lord knows I deserved it).

Mr. Lounsberry and Earth Science

Steve Holcomb and I had him for Earth Science, but we were in different classes.

Mr. Lounsberry's favorite show was Have Gun Will Travel.  Once one of the students asked what he had to do to get an "A"  in the class.  Lounsberry's reply was simple and to the point, "Bring me in a Garcia Abu-Matic 5000 rod and reel."  The student's dad owned a big appliance store so I think there was "no problemo"

Every time I think of Igneous, metamorphic or paleozoic rocks I'm right back in Earth Science 101.  Rent the movie "what's up doc?" with Ryan Oneal and Barbra Striesand. Ryan Oneal is a musicoligist studing the musical qualities of rocks. It's really a funny movie. My favorite line, "yes eunice."  Paste the link below into your browser. Barbra Striesand is really funny. Never knew that before.

He made Earth Science interesting and a fun class for its day.  As soon as Rock Valley College opened a whole bunch of our teacher mutinied and went over there. I think my brain is turning metamorphic. Ha, ha.
