Look at the size of that computer. And they say size doesn't matter.

Good Science.   Science Teachers
One of them may have inspired David Hurd to become a famous
Oncologist. Whoever it was thanks. And thank you Dr. Hurd. You are the man.

Miss Schwandt and Margaret Sloas. They were more than teachers. They cared about their students and were there when you needed them. Ms. Sloas, I hope you know the impact your kindness had on at least two of your students.

Gotta love Mr. Share. I took Government and Economics from him in summer school. That way if I flunked I had another chance during the regular year. He made it understandable then. Now nothing makes sense.  Mr. Ralph Rice. I'll never for the day someone tied Steve Holcomb's shoe laces together while he was sleeping in Mr. Rice's class. Steve got up and plop, right on the floor. Mr. Rice was always good for a library pass or admit or whatever they called them. Why did they make it so hard to go to the library?????

Bad Science

These teachers help mold some of the smartest students we had: John Cowing (who I personally think was a true genius from Whig Hill School) and Boyd Barrick, to name just two.

Industrial Arts Teachers

Mr. Czosnek was one of my favorites. Kind of gruff but an excellent business teacher and funny at times. I think he also taught public speaking???

Mr. Hill was my all-time favorite teacher even though I only had him for English at Wilson jr. High. I ran into a lady who was a friend of his and she told me that he had died. That's too bad. He couldn't have been that old. 1960 was his first year of teaching. Mr. Paul Hill sure put up with a lot of good natured kidding but he'd put his hands on his hips and say, "Hrumpfh" or something like that. Bye Mr. Hill. Thanks for being my friend. --Ken Nelson

Lynn Beksel's mother worked in the kitchen. Hmmmm, I did not know that.

Miss Aaberg sure put up with a lot of stuff from some of us. We'd go to the library to goof off but she always caught us.  Lt. Zimmerman, one word, "Outstanding"
