Ms. Janis Lee (McKnight) Thacker, age 63, of Winston, OR, passed away on January 6, 2019, at her home after an illness. She was born on May 26, 1955, to Lee and Jean (Tinker) McKnight in Roseburg.

Janis graduated from Roseburg High School in 1973, and was employed for 20 years at Walmart as a directs/invoice clerk.

Janis was a very simple woman, with a full heart while surrounded by her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her daughters, Danni Jo Moore (Donald), Shelby Northern (Michael Gilbert); sons, Justin Thacker (Sierra), and Kyle Northern (Leilani Chaquies). Janis is also survived by her sister, Joyce McKnight; two brothers, Larry McKnight (LeAnn) and Bob Tinker; and grandchildren, Katrina Brages, Devon Whelchel, Jeremy Whelchel Jr., Olivia Morrison, Ezra Morrison, and Baby Thacker (due very soon); and one great-grandchild, Matteo Bravo. Janis is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Devon Whelchel.
