A year after graduation Garret and I were married. (May 2001.) This May will be our 19th anniversary. I remember some teachers thinking we were not going to last. :D He joined the USAF and we quit college to move across the country. After spending some time in Texas and most of our first years in two different houses in Florida and having a beautiful daughter, we got orders and moved to New Mexico. We bought a house there. Then sold our house there and moved to Alaska. We got shook around in the 7.1 Alaskan Earthquake snow globe up there. Then... No big surprise, we moved again... Currently, we are in California now. Seventh time is a charm? Nah, we are already planning on the "retirement" move in just 1-3 more years. Maybe, we will be seeing some of you around town soon.
In 2016, we lost a family member (Garret's sister Rachel Brown). Some of you may have known her as she was two years behind our class. Gone too young. You never know when your time is up, which is why we can't wait to finish Garret's 20 service years and move back. Travelling is fun, but you can't replace time with family.
Since we never got to stay in Oregon to continue growing and raising our family, to many of you we may have appeared to drop off the face of the Earth. I look forward to reconnecting and seeing everyone. If you want to chat sometime and can handle social media differences of opinion, look me up on Facebook.
