Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments

Like most of us, by this age, life has given me its share of extreme joy as well
as sorrow. There isn't enough room on this page to list everything. So I will
just say that I am happy to have my wife Barbara, my children, my three grandchildren, my extended family, my friends.
Life tends to speed up as I get older. Looking at a 50 year reunion proves that
out. However, in my mind I often feel as young as I did in high school. I guess that's part of the joy of life. Now days I know I spend too much time on
the computer, but the whole world is there at my fingertips. Music, art, travel,
etc. But then there's fishing. I have a 16ft. Tracker fishing boat that my wife
and I use for relaxation, getting in touch with each other, nature and God. :)

School Story

High school is like putting your life in "Warp-Drive." It seems we enter as mere children and get blown out the other end as adults. Shrine was not an easy ride compared to public schools. The curriculum was college level, the
standards were high, the rules were many and the homework was absolutely
mountainous. We who have graduated, ALL deserve respect for that.
I do appreciate the education and morals that were fostered there that went
along with my upbringing at home. My classmates, music, athletics, dances,
drivers education, (some) teachers, and just the inter-action of us all on a daily basis made most of school a great experience. I want to THANK YOU ALL
for being part of my life, whether you knew it or not. :)

For me, Mike was one of the original "Outlaws" I've met in my life.  I shared a few classes with him and I know he didn't always agree with everything the teachers were trying to preach to us as gospel.  This of course led to some confrontation with authority.  Mike was one of those who early on thought "Outside the box".  He had the most dry sense of humor and at times had me laughing to the point of tears.

I'm not sure of Mike's life or the details of his passing.  I hope he is in that better place of peace and joy.  I'll remember him as a friend and thank him for the memories.

As Coach Al Fracassa once said, "Jim was the greatest athlete I ever coached".  He truly was an amazing talent.  An All American in football, track and basketball.  That put a lot of pressure on Jim to keep up in the classroom as well as with sports.  He brought a lot of positive attention to our school and handled it all with grace, humility and poise.  Jim had a great sense of humor and a huge bright smile, he was fun to be around.

He was successful in his professional football career as well as in business. Thankfully he was blessed with a wonderful wife and family.  Unfortunately he was taken from us too soon.  I'm glad to have known Jim and I want to thank him for being a part of my life and for gracing the halls of our school for which he did so much.
