Comments:

After high school, I went to EKU for BA in print journalism. Spent most of my career as newspaper reporter, editor, & freelance writer. I was most recently working with a website that provides information & free services for military families. But now I am staying at home with my kids and taking care of my mom. At the ripe old age of 23, I married my soul mate, Arnie Lambert. In November of 2004, God blessed us with two beautiful sons, Dylan and Conner, and their adoption was final in May 2006. They are the light of our lives. The best change in my life happened in 1999 when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. God has truly blessed our family. Today we live on a farm in Hodgenville with an assortment of dogs, horses, cows, goats, and the occasional stray something-or-other. I'm enjoying reconnecting with friends and classmates and looking forward to our reunion.

School Story:

I'll never forget my 16th birthday party Sean Brown threw at his house. Also, the times Michelle Cooper & I drove around the lake in our bikinis smoking cigars. Lots of parties at her house, too, especially after her mom went back to college... I remember cruising around Key Village listening to WOKI, going to Nightlife in Somerset on Saturday nights...Toilet papering houses was also a regular event, and I remember Junie nearly broke her ankle when she fell in a hole running across Bill Marshall's yard as we were making a hasty retreat. (Sorry Bill!) I loved going to ball games and all our school dances in the cafeteria... Just lots of big times in a small town.

Favorite Teacher/Class from High School:

Favorite class: Creative Writing taught by Tracey Antle. I also really enjoyed Beckie Wade's & Nadine Womack's English classes. Favorite Teacher: Gayla Sue Antle. (I remember Michael Hale always referred to her as Gayla Swee.)

When I think of our senior year, I'll always remember:

Senior year... There were lots of good times with friends, prom, getting ready for college... Unfortunately, my dad was in the hospital in the final stages of lung cancer during the last few months of senior year, and he died two weeks into my first semester at EKU. I can't remember the good things without also remembering how hard that time was.

Since graduating high school, I am most proud of:

My children. There's nothing that compares to being their mom.

If I knew then what I know now...

I'd be more loving and less critical of myself & others. I'd have also taken up golf much sooner!

Today, my hobbies, favorites & interests include:

Writing, church activities, singing, song-writing, photography and all the sports my kids are involved in. Started playing golf last year and love it. (A sport with no running and cute clothes & shoes: What's not to love?) Just starting to get addicted to Wii Fit.
