Comments:

Since the last reunion I have spent more time with some other classmates and it is just great to keep friendships alive.
My parents have passed away and my husband has retired to part-time.
My sister has moved to Denver, CO. where her oldest daughter lives, plus her only two grandchildren.
I find life to be good.

School Story:

I have tons of good memories. Walking to school with friends in elementary, jr. high and high school.
Spending the night with various friends, going to the movies, riding around town to see who is "out".
I spent tons of time with my cousin Margaret Mobley. She had the cutest red volkswagen and we had great fun exploring all around the area.
Water skiiing at lake Nimrob and picnicing with friends and family too.
Playing the piano, going on band trips while accompanying band students on the piano. What fun!!
Pep squad was fun and riding the bus to ballgames.
Talking about boys, clothes and all kinds of other stuff with girls at bunking parties.
Agnes Anne told me recently that she never snuck out and smoked with the rest of us. She told me she was a daddy's girl and she knew he wouldn't like her to do that.
Five or six girls got in a habit of going to Al's for lunch one year and we always got back to school late. Mr. Dawson called us all in, the last time, and gave us a stern lecture. We listened.

One year a while back(elementary) Nanette and I squeezed between two buildings across from the radio station. We had on boots so we could climb down into the "creek" that ran under the street.
We loved it and thought we had done some really brave thing.

I remember playing kick the can with Nanette, her brothers and the Rollans boys.
The most brave thing I recall was climbing all around the lumber in the back of the old Brooks house on Arkansas Ave. There were ALL kinds of things back there and we were convinced that if we got caught we would be shot. I was amazed at the old prescription bottles, the glass kind, that was back there.
One time I walked up to the Brooks house in my girl scout uniform and tried to sell them cookies. I can't even remember if they bought them. I just remember that side walk seeming like it was a mile long!!
