I was always one of the shy, quiet people roaming the halls of RHS. I did come out of my shell some senior year when I got involved with a few organizations like the drama club, choir and FBLA, plus I worked in the guidance office, too. Some of my favorite times involved the senior play. Besides having a small part in the play, I was also stage manager. Yelling "QUIET BACKSTAGE!" all the time was not my favorite thing though and I know people rolled their eyes when they heard that. Better that than 'STOP! START OVER!' from Mr. Williams though!

I attended ATU for a short time, but unfortunately didn't stick with college. I worked in the fast food business for 8 years, making my way up from crew member to shift supervisor. Left that job to start working at Grace Manufacturing. I kept that job for 10 and a half years. After living in Russellville my entire life, it was way past time for a change. So, right after Christmas of 2007, I moved to Kansas City, Missouri. I actually live in a small town north of KC called Gladstone and I really like it here. It was a big step of faith moving from where my entire life was to somewhere that I only knew a few people and didn't have a job either. It's all worked out though. I am making new friends AND I have a job that I love. That's something I couldn't say for a LONG time. Plus, it doesn't hurt that I am making over $2.00 more an hour at a coffee shop than I was at the manufacturing plant after 10 years. Funny, huh? It's a much less stressful job too, which is what I needed. After having quadruple heart by-pass surgery in September of 2004, stress is not a good thing. Life is good right now!
