After graduation, I attended the University of Arkansas for 3 years then returned to graduate from Tech in 1983. I moved to Washington, DC in 1985 and worked on Capitol Hill. Always wanting to teach high school, I completed my Masters and taught English in the Maryland Public Schools for 4 years. After our youngest, Robert was born, I chose to take a break from teaching. In July 2003, John, the boys and I moved back to Ruston to be near family. We had the opportunity to buy my childhood home from my Dad . . .so I'm back in Ruston, raising my boys where I grew up . . .literally.
