1952 - 2021

Sandy, UT— April 17th at 2:16pm our Matriarch, Terry passed away surrounded by family. She was the most amazing mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and leader. We were so blessed to be able to have her with us for so many years. We know she was met with open arms and loving hearts as she joined our family in heaven.

Terry was born to Constantine Peter Chlepas and Helen Leappes Chlepas. She attended Olympus High School. Then went on to have a fulfilling career at Salt Lake County in their HR Department where she retired in 2017.

She married the love of her life Melvin Jackson Fortner on June 8, 2003. He cherished and took care of our Mom until the very end. There isn’t a single thing he wouldn’t have done for her and for that we are eternally grateful. We love you so much Dad and we are blessed to have you in our life.

She had 3 children JaNae Beckstead(Aaron), Stacy Holst(Val), Jadon Boyce(Rashelle) and 7 stepchildren, 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She had three siblings Trace Chlepas(Becky), Tony Chlepas(deceased) and Trudy Chlepas.
