Richard Duane Henderson 

5/4/1952 - 10/7/2019 

Our sweet father, PAPA, brother and friend Rich Henderson passed away peacefully at his home on October 7, 2019. Rich was born on May 4, 1952 to Duane and Lucille Henderson in Salt Lake City, UT. 

Rich was the kindest and most gentle man one could ever know. He lived his life without judgment or hate and showed so much love to everyone he knew. He was the most amazing dad, papa and friend. 

Rich loved music and he could play just about any instrument you put in his hands. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. But what he loved the most was spending time with his family. He loved being a papa to his grandson Rayden and shared such a close and special relationship with his daughter Laney. 

Rich worked in the Aerospace industry and was responsible for the development of advanced composite materials for commercial aircraft jet engines, as well as space, defense and recreation applications. 

This world will be a little less bright without Rich in it and we will miss him dearly. 

Rich is survived by his daughter Laney Defa (Ryan), his grandson Rayden Defa, and his sister Connie Vazquez (Juan Vazquez). He was preceded in death by his son Jesse Henderson and his brother Bruce Henderson land his parents Duane and Lucille Henderson. 

Please join us in a celebration of life for Rich on Friday October 18, 2019 at 5:30 PM at the The Rock Church located at 11630 700 E, Draper UT 84020. 

Following the service we will gather at the Break Bar in West Valley at 3396 Decker Lake Dr. for some "Beers and Cheers for Rich" just like he would have wanted.
