Jeff Proctor

Jeff Proctor

July 24, 1952 - June 28, 2015

On a beautiful Sabbath morning Jeff Proctor completed his earthly mission.

His was truly a life of service and sacrifice. Though unable to care for himself, he magnified charity and light to everyone around him. All of those who served and associated with Jeff felt goodness, joy and love.

Jeff was born on July 24, 1952 to Arthur C. Proctor and Nancy Gay Margetts Proctor in SLC, Utah. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the California East Spanish mission, and attended BYU pursuing a degree in Bilingual Elementary Education. He planned to return to California to teach school. His plans were interrupted in 1977 because of a debilitating car accident which left him completely dependent. Since the accident, Jeff was cared for by his family for 20 years, then at South Davis Community Care Center for 18 years. During that time he has remained faithful to the Lord and has served him well by continually blessing the lives of others. Jeff is a friend to everyone and especially loves children. He is now free to receive his eternal reward.

He passed away on June 28, 2015 in Bountiful, Utah. He is survived by his Mother, Nancy, sister, Tracey (Ray) Grow, and many extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur, and his sister, Natalie McCandless.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Holladay Stake Center, 4568 Holladay Blvd (2100 East), Holladay, Utah. Friends can visit with the family beginning at 9:30 prior to the funeral. Interment at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah.

We are grateful to all those through the years who have faithfully and lovingly cared for Jeff.
