David Rasmusson, beloved brother, uncle and friend passed away February 24th, 2024, at his home due to complications of diabetes. He was 71 years old.
David was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, camping, road trips through the mountains and most of all being with family. He was an avid reader and book collector. He enjoyed loud 70's rock music especially blasting it in his car..David was a unique individual with a fun sense of humor. He loved to joke, especially with his nieces and nephews at family dinners. He enjoyed talking politics with a passion. Most of all, He was a kind and gentle soul; a caring person who was always dedicated to those he loved.
David was born July 29, 1952, in Salt Lake City. He lived his entire life in Utah.
He was a graduate of Olympus High School 1970, then went on to serve in the US Coast Guard. He attended BYU and the University of Utah. David worked most of his life in the Title and real estate business.
David served a full-time mission for the LDS Church in Arizona. He was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
David is survived by his sister Marilyn (Steve Avery), nieces Stephanie Sturgeon (Sam), Amy Malley; nephews Seth Malley (/Reyna), Matthew Avery (Kathy), William Avery, and Mark Avery; along with his beloved great nieces and nephews. They all brought him great happiness.
He is preceded in death by his parents Deloris and Mont Rasmusson, sisters Susan Malley and Cheryl Rasmusson.
A Memorial service honoring David will be on March 9th at 10 AM at the chapel on 10124 South 1300 West South Jordan, UT 84095. No prior viewing.

I remember David, a great kid at Oly.  We were both born the same day in '52.  

My regards and sympathy to his family, he passed too soon.
