Lou Ann was a friend to many, and loved by all who knew her. She was my first friend at church when I moved to Utah in 1965 and our friendship grew throughout the years. We hadn't seen each other for 5 years when she passed away, but we had talked on the phone several weeks before. No cell phones then, or cheap long-distance calling plans and we were 2500 miles away. I learned not to put off making that trip to see someone you love or take for granted there will always be tomorrow. I miss her and her contagious laugh, her brilliant smile, and her friendship.
