Diego. cool dude. Bodie & I crashed at his place one night after a party. He was super awesome. We made him and his friends pancakes the next morning.
Soon after graduating high school, I got in a nasty argument with my boyfriend and had him drop me off at TRs field. Diego was there with friends throwing the frisbee. I sat on the bleachers & watched totally impressed & thought, "how cool is HE!!" He gave me a ride home. Diego, I am so sorry you're gone. I know certainly you painted this world and the people you knew with warm happiness. Rock on Angel of coolness.

Diego, my first roommate after graduation. We had some great times. I remember well going to the football field and looking stupid trying to do the things Diego could do with a Frisbee, he was awesome! I also remember him always getting into trouble working at a music store and twirling record albums while working (remember those). I don't think he ever broke one. I will miss him very much.

I remember Diego as being very kind and awesome with a Frisbee. R.I.P. Diego.

Diego was my roommate with 2 other girls for a brief period in 1984. Our 2 bd 1 bath apt was on Terrell road near Central Market. ( His bedroom was the couch) He was very funny and sweet and did Frisbee tricks in our living room.  We were given lessons on how to spin a Frisbee on the tip of our index finger but were all hopelessly inept!  I'll remember his shy, easy going and boyish personality and his love of having fun. (and his spying on us in the bathroom!)

Remember Diego really well. Amazing with a Frisbee! We went to a lot of concerts together with a group of guys who I won't mention because most of our activities were illegal. God showed us a lot of grace back in the day... : ) Diego was a great dude!

Diego and I were super close friends our senior year.  He taught me so much about music appreciation.  I never even listened to jazz until I met him.  We had many good times together...concerts, throwing the disc at Windsor Park mall parking lot at 2:00 a.m.  And I still remember some of the chess moves he taught me!  I miss you greatly my friend.

Good stuff here.  Susan, thanks for the video.  I tell my kids about Diego, now they can see him in action.  If that was the tourney on Town Lake in Austin I was there.  My first college room-mates were Jim O'Donnel and Steve Eklund.  Diego would drive up to Austin all the time and stay with us.  I still remember a claim to fame....Diego and I went to the first ever National Hacky Sack Championships together....other than the people competing, we were like the only spectators...of course we were because who knew there was a freakin' National Hacky Sack Tourney?  Well, Diego of course.

Even years later Diego would come crash at my place in Austin so he could see his girlfriend who will remain nameless so as not to incriminate....needless to say he never had to crash at my place...ha ha.  He would do illegal things in my living room while I tried to study....Thanks Diego.

You are missed.

Peace my brother.
