Wanda Sue Baertich Sherbert

On May 29, 2013 Wanda Sue Baertich Sherbert was welcomed into
Heaven by beloved family members to include her parents Virginia
and Bill Baertich, husband Officer Larry Sherbert, son Bill Travis
Sherbert,
brother Danny Baertich , sister in law Debbie Baertich, as
well as her mother and father in law Travis and Alice Sherbert, and
brother and sister in law Lt. Roy and "Vicci" Sherbert. In the loving
arms of her Compassionate Lord, Wanda is free of the pain
and
struggle she faced with such dignity for so many years.
Wanda is survived by her daughter and son in law Samantha and Tim
Erhart, grandchildren Travis Pinder and Alison Denton, sister and
brother in law Jessie and Johnny Bates, brother Bill Baertich,
sister in
Law Sandy Baertichand numerous nieces and nephews.
Her intimate relationship with God brought out a loving and patient
demeanor in Wanda that in spite of her day-to-day tribulations
inspired all who knew her. She devoted her life to her church by
volunteering for the Youth Ministry.
Her greatest passion was her grandchildren. She enjoyed caring for them after school, participating in crafts and "taking them on adventures" to NASA, various ZOO's, and especially enjoyed taking them on the Brackenridge Park train ride.
She spent the majority of her career specializing in the Gas and Oil
industry. Her final position was as Payroll Manager for Pioneer
Drilling. She instilled a strong work ethic in both of her children,
however she taught them that what you do for a living does not
define who you are as a person.
A memorial service will be held at Brookhill Baptist Church, 631 Utopia Ave, San Antonio Tx 78223 at 4:00PM on Tuesday June 4, 2013. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial dona
tions be made to Brookhill Baptist Church.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Downtown
Baptist Select Care Hospital for their support in her final days.
