Gilbert Joseph Chamartin, Jr.
Born July 23, 1949 in San Antonio to parents Gilbert, Sr.
and Dorothy. Died January 19, 2007 in San Antonio at age 57. Honorably discharged from U.S. Navy
after service in Vietnam. Survivors: Bill & Wanda Chamartin, Adam Chamartin, Chad Chamartin, Jo
Chamartin, all of San Antonio; and Sherry Broughton of Fruite, CO. Gil spent as much time as possible
enjoying his God's creation out of doors. The rest of Gil's time was spent being of maximum service to
God and the people about him. A celebration Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday,
January 26, at Madison Square Presbyterian Church, 319 Camden. Coffee and desserts will follow at
4114 Smokey Bend (in Northern Hills). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to
Goliad Club, 537 Avondale, San Antonio, TX 78223.
