Herbert L. Ellison, Jr. known as 'Fast Black' to family and friends passed away
on December 31, 2006 at the age of 57. He was a member of Highlands' 1966
4-A State Championship track team. He is survived by his parents Herbert L.
Sr. and Fannie M. Ellison, son Alonzo (Deandra) Ellison, sisters Paulette, Iris
and Marva, four grandchildren, Llyasah, Attallah, Qayyimah and Arron.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lewis
Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 8, 2007 at
11:00 a.m. at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 3062 Martin Luther King,
Rev. John A. Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston
National Cemetery @ 1:00 p.m. Lewis Funeral Home.
