It was a sad message to receive today about Bill. I first met Bill in 5th grade at All Hallows. We were quick to become friends and stayed that way all through Uni.

I'm sorry to know that Bill had some struggles as an adult, and I wish that there was some way that we collectively could have done more to help.

Ultimately I will remember Bill as an extremely intelligent person with a good sense of humor. I'll remember the kid that I hung out with, and all the goofy things we did, like taking a bowling ball from his house and rolling it down Nautilus Street in the middle of the night.

Bill, I hope you are at peace.

Bill always struck me as "mellow", to use a 70's term. I remember him as open, kind, and positive. During Mr. Beswick's class, Bill spoke about an accident that he had just had. A homeless man stepped out from between parked cars and in front of Bill's car so quickly that Bill had no time to stop. Bill paused, then said, "He didn't make it." It seemed like Bill was really crushed but trying hard to carry on.

Bill and I spoke a lot at the ten year reunion and I really enjoyed it. It left me wishing that I had known him better in High School.

I am sad thinking of the challenges and struggles it seems that Bill faced. I wonder what heights he might have reached on an easier path. Bill struck me as an optimist, so I hope he would say to us now, "the greater the struggles in this life, the greater the peace in heaven."

Does anyone know what happened?  I'm so sorry to hear this.  Bill was such a nice guy with an easy smile.
