Okay, I'm coming from Nebraska, but I will even chip in for some of you that want to come from SoCal if you can't quite scrape up enough to make it. It's been a lot of years and well, IT WON'T BE QUITE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU!!!! I mean that with all sincerity.

We had an awesome class and it would be great to get as many of us back together again as possible. No matter who you are, you are a member of the greatest class to walk the halls of Uni High ('78 is STILL Great!)

So grab your yearbooks, shake the cobwebs out of your old high school memories and come on and join us for a great time. (Geeez, guys, I'm catching the first crop duster out of North Platte at 4 am and we'll be dropping a load of fertilizer on our way to Denver, so....No excuses! ;)

Who knows how many of us will still be around next time there is a reunion?? None of us is getting any younger!!!! Fred and Mike are right- Uni helped shape the people we became and who we are today. Don't be shy....the more the merrier!

I'm sending out a special plea to all you classmates that went to Holy Family: Here's your PERSONAL INVITATION..... we've got a lot of catching up to do!!!....looking forward to seeing everyone next week!!!

Just like Donna, I'm bad too. I was unaware of the date of the reunion until just a few weeks ago and I have another commitment that Saturday evening. I will be at the Friday night event and mass on Sunday. So I hope to see you all there. This is a very special event and I hope all that are around will make an effort to visit thier "old" friends.

Wow what an awesome site - well done Ronnie - fellow classmate from School of the Madaleine.

I made the decision to come when I received a call from CeCe (Cecilia Sanchez) on my way to pick up my grand daughter for a weekend babysitting / bonding.

My first reaction was nah I'll pass. Then CeCe said Co-Beta you have to come - it won't be the same without you, Dr. Dowling (Maureen) is coming all the way from VA, Debbie Peacock from AZ - sit with us - I promise you will have a blast! Well how could I refuse. She emailed me the link, saying how awesome it was, and wow - I wasn't let down.

I can't wait to see all of you again, especially those who didn't make it to the 10 or 20 year. Uni - Class of 78 rocks!

My twin brother, Phil, and I will be thinking of everyone of you this weekend. Next year, my son Ethan will be a freshman at Jesuit High School. It makes me realize how lucky we are to have been given the chance to attend such a school with such incredible people. Thanks Ronnie (fellow St. Mary Magdalene student). Please add re-union pictures to the site. God Bless.

Hello everyone!

Ronnie thanks so much for setting up the high school reunion (and a grade school reunion for some of us we had a great time). I loved seeing everyone again.

Hey, does anyone know why Bremer took his pants off??? (the red Uni shorts really made the night! :^)

Ok, there were ALOT of flashbulbs going off throughout the night - come on people --- POST EM. Please?

Can't wait for the next event!

Gretchen

Okay I know Gretchen REALLY wants to see pictures posted... I just hope you'll be kind if the pictures you decide to post for all eternity have gym shorts in them...

It was a great weekend - thanks again Ronnie and Linda. So many thoughts about so many great people ...will write longer later.

World peace and free beer... How great would that be? First thoughts about the peeps at our reunion:

1. Uni did something right, because I like how all us undeveloped teenagers turned out. Didn't really see evidence of "that guy" - the tool, the a-hole, or "that girl" - the shrew, the snob. Everyone I chatted with seems to have grown up and into their skin quite nicely. And, ironically, for all the people that told me that they thought their high school years were "awful" and "awkward", it was interesting to see how quickly all these middle aged people reconnected with everyone, without any agenda. Sure, everyone's had their share of heartbreak and hard knocks along the way to adulthood, but somehow that was put aside saturday night, and a lot of laughs were shared with the same Uni "family" that accepted us way back during those "awful & awkward" years.

2. It would be interesting to know more about this family TODAY. Like, who digs Jon Stewart versus who watches Chris Matthews. Who likes Obama, who like McCain. Who liked Bush, who liked Clinton. Who likes free beer, who's dealt with 12-step programs.... Like any family, I'm sure Uni class of 78 has a bit of everything.

3. People I REALLY wish I'd spent more time with: Lucy Anthenill, Hugh Campbell, Rick Polackiewicz (hope I spelled that right), Dave Moore, Pat Franklin, Brian Rickling, Matt Spahr, Greg Achatz, Debbi and Carl, the Dalton-Mislehs, Bruce Morey, Cha Schmitt.... How did six hours go by so fast?

4. People I didn't really know in high school, but whose eyes - when we spoke briefly saturday night - sparkled in a way few people's do in the jaded L.A. world I travel in... I wish I'd had more of that Saturday night too!: Lisa Acosta, Theresa Cody, Mike Diamond (how was your dancing date afterward with the betty from class of 98?!), Jovi Javier, Debbie Peacock, Tressi Inlow...and Ron Garcia. Rock on!

Let's keep it going... Maybe we can get Gretchen to hack into some SDPD databanks to track down some of the missing classmates before the next reunion?

Hi All! I didn't know where to post reunion pics so I have a few (so far) on my own classmate profile. More to come after a little editing. Don't get nervous Mike B.

Hi All-

I just wanted to apologize to some of you that I didn't get a chance to say good-bye to on Saturday night. I loved seeing everyone at the reunion-what a beautiful spot to meet old friends and reconnect Ron and Linda! You did a fantastic job. To those of you I was looking forward to seeing on Sunday at Mass at Cathedral, I apologize for not making it. My son had a very nasty motorcycle accident early Sunday morning back home in Nebraska-he will be okay but he is still in the hospital. The orthopedic surgeon cleaned up his leg yesterday, but he is still not able to use his right arm and may require surgery on it as well. It will be awhile before he is up and around. He's got head cuts (Thank God Nebraska has a helmet law) and numerous abrasions that hopefully will not need grafting) Overall, he was extremely lucky! Ron, please be careful in your travels on your motorcycle! They are fun, but accidents do happen. Anyway, it could have been much worse. Fred, Mike, Maureen-I enjoyed having lunch and chatting with you at the Red Marlin on Saturday and getting to reconnect with you all over after all these years. My apologies for not saying goodbye, as I planned to see you all on Sunday. (I didn't have anyone's cell # to call or I would have.) It was great to see everyone and to make connections with everyone again-you are all an awesome bunch of people. There was so much going on at the reunion I felt like six hours came and went in a very short time. I would like to thank all of the spouses that were brave enough to come and put up with all of us on Saturday. To those of you that couldn't make it, you missed a great time and I hope you will be able to make the next one. To all of you, God Bless you and keep you safe until we meet again. BTW-Lucy, I like your idea of world peace and free beer! I'll vote for that- and to Mike B.- I didn't see a thing! Cheers! Cathy

Kelle McMillan (Stanley)

So sorry now that I didn't get to attend the reunion (had in-laws in town to see my husband who just recently returned from Iraq)! It sounds like you all had a fabulous time! Can't wait to see all the pictures/videos!

Cathy Hougan: I'm sorry to hear about your son's accident! I hope everything is healing well!

Let's keep this site going and keep lines of communication open! Any of you who know where the "missing" are, how about letting them know about this site and encourage them to let us all know what they are up to these days. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading everybody's profiles. I hope to be able to see all of you eventually (We were living overseas for both the 10th and 20th!).

To Ronnie: You've done this right! You rock!

Thanks.

Kelle (McMillan) Stanley

Take care everyone!
