Karl E.Tufts Jr."Duke" Duke passed away peacefully at his home Saturday April 17, 2004. He was born October 31, 1947 to Karl and Mabel Tufts in Salt Lake City. Duke married Janet Glassey May 7, 1971 and were later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Duke was the owner of Rocky Mountain Pools for many years. He currently was working for Jordan School district the last 10 years. Bugged that he didn't get to retire. Duke loved duck hunting, golf, camping, and being around his family, grandchildren and friends. Survived by wife; children, April (Ray) Cary, Amanda Maudlin, Robert (Alicia) Tufts; grandchildren, Samantha, Sierra, Ashlyn, Cameron; and his mother; also many brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces that dearly loved him. Preceded in death by his father. Duke will be greatly missed. Services will be held Wednesday April 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Jordan Stake Center (9331 S. 300 E.) Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. So. Jordan Parkway (10600 S.) So. Jordan, also one hour prior to services.
