Terry Carl Bush
Terry Carl Bush, 76, Sandy, Utah, passed away on April 10th, 2025, after sustaining severe injuries from a motor vehicle accident April 9th, 2025. He left this world surrounded by his wife and his children who love him deeply.
Terry was born on July 14th, 1948, in Sandy, Utah to Doty Reinhold Bush & Mildred Stella Starley Bush as the tail end baby. He grew up in Sandy and had three older siblings. brother Starley Doty Bush, brother Robert “Bob” Ray Busch, and sister Alyce Marie Brown. They loved and doted on Terry like he was one of their own children. Terry grew up playing alongside his nieces and nephews while his older sister Alyce watched him for her mother. Terry was a rambunctious, strong-willed baby who would spit in the eye of a snake and make everyone laugh about it later. He attended Jordan High School where he played & lettered in baseball and football. He tried out for a professional baseball team in California as a pitcher in the late 60’s and was offered a position on the coaching staff but declined due to life circumstances. After his playing career ended, he coached his eldest son’s little league baseball teams and all-star teams, he loved baseball and loved helping others learn the game. Terry ended up coaching and helping all his children in their athletic endeavors and made sure to support them at all their events. Terry made his life’s work as an entrepreneur doing general contracting and for a time worked building beautiful houses throughout the Salt Lake valley, later he specialized in heating and air conditioning and ran a successful small business. He had a passion for all sports, camping, fishing, hunting, science-fiction, a good movie, better books, excellent food & good beer. Terry could be described as an easy-going spitfire, offering friendly smiles to anyone and readily able to laugh about all things. He always looked ahead when things got hard and put his head down and did the work. While being a man’s man, Terry loved babies and animals and had many pets throughout his adult life, cat or dog, goat or chicken they loved being in his reassuring and calm presence. Terry was loved and cared for by all who were fortunate to meet & know him. Especially by his wife Misty, two souls that danced together through life. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. The void his absence leaves can only be filled by living life to honor his memory, so work hard, play hard, laugh often, smile more, & love forever.

Peggy Dyer Obituary
Peggy Alldredge Dyer
1948~2025
Sandy, UT - It is impossible to use words to summarize the amazing life of Peggy Alldredge Dyer but here goes. After 76 years, Peggy's spirit outgrew her body while surrounded by her greatest treasure, her family. Peggy reluctantly began her fight against cancer almost 3 years ago. She handled every agonizing second of this battle for her family. She endured the indignity of cancer with grace. Peggy loved Dr. Nevala at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and his nurse Rachel. The family will be eternally grateful for the kind way Dr. Nevala cared for Peggy.
Peggy refused to let cancer dictate what she could and couldn't do with her remaining time. She had an impressive list of to-dos she was able to complete in record time. Her family will always be humbled and grateful as we cherish the family history, quilts, cross-stitches, letters, and books she worked so hard to complete.
Peggy was born to amazing parents, Fred and Jeanne Alldredge, on May 12, 1948. We are so happy she is able to use her unforgettable laugh with her dad again and fully believe if you listen hard enough, you will hear it. Fred was full of all the best nonsense and Jeanne taught Peggy everything she needed to know to be the incredible wife and mother she became. Peggy loved her brothers and sisters. Bonnie, Fred Jr., Kim, Kay and Suzanne. Peggy felt a lot of responsibility to help her mother who was in poor health during Peggy's childhood. Peggy looked over her older sister Bonnie, who was born with Down's syndrome and took her role seriously. Peggy loves her brothers and sisters and has always been proud of her family.
Peggy was a lifetime learner. She attended Dixie College in St. George where she made lifelong friends. She then attended the Church College of Hawaii with the goal to finally get over her fear of water. Swimming lessons did not pan out and Peggy left Hawaii with her hatred of water and
sand firmly intact. She then headed to Weber State University where she met and married her eternal love, Ken Dyer. Peggy graduated with a degree in Family Life from BYU in 2009 at the age of 61.
Ken and Peggy were married on the snowy December 16, 1970. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 3, 1972. Their marriage is one built on unselfish love, service, hard work, respect and fidelity. Ken and Peggy's great gift will be the legacy of love they perfectly exemplified. Ken served Peggy every minute of every day during her battle with cancer. Their devotion to each other is an envy to all who have the blessing of witnessing it.
Peggy was diligent. If she was asked to do something, she did it. When her daughter Brittany told her they were riding roller coasters, she did it. She hated it, but she did it. With the exception of anything on the water, Peggy did it. This resolve was tested when Ken and Peggy were called to serve a mission in Iloilo, Philippines from 2011-2013. They had to take pump boats to travel between assignments. They would share boats with chickens and goats and Peggy felt like each ride was her last, but she did it.
Peggy lived for her family. She was so grateful to Ken for being able to provide in a way that made it possible for her to stay home with her kids. The Dyer family is a close-knit clan who
love to spend time laughing and supporting each other. This will be a lasting testament to Peggy's life work.
Peggy is survived by her husband Ken, her seven children Brandon (Kami), Tiffany Gordon (Scott), Travis (Jen), Brett (Kendra), Brittany Anderson (Jeremy), Marc (Emily) and Aaron (Alex), her 32 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way, her sibling's Fred, Kim, Kay (Debbie), and Suzanne and sibling's in-law Bonnie Goldsberry, Pam Rodgers (Ron), Terri Sirrine (Todd). She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Jeanne Alldredge, and sister Bonnie and in-laws Joseph and Mable Dyer.
A viewing will be held from 7-9pm on Tuesday January 14th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 11196 S Wasatch Blvd. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15th at 11am with a viewing from 9:30-10:45am. Graveside will follow immediately at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 Dimple Dell Road, Sandy.
