Roy Hal Wall passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday the 19th of August 2023. Born the 15th of February 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah to father Hal Eldwin Wall and mother Nelda Wall. His family moved to Sandy, Utah when he was 3 and he graduated from Jordan High School class of 1966. He lived in Sandy until he moved to Lehi in 2018.

After high school, he joined the Air Force in 1967 and was stationed for a year in Vietnam as a Weather Observer. He was honorably discharged in 1971.

Back home he attended BYU until he was called to serve in the Taiwan Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1974 to 1976.

After his mission, he was called to the position of Stake President of the Young Adults in the Sandy West Stake. It was then that he met his future wife. On the 24th of June 1977, he married the love of his life, Jani Barbara Robinson.      

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix class of 2000.

In 1982 he was called by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as an inmate counselor for the Family Home Evening program at the Salt Lake County Prison. He visited weekly and brought his young family monthly. He served faithfully in the church all of his life in many positions including; Bishop of the Sandy 3rd Ward, Bishop of the Riverbend Ward, Elders Quorum President, Cub Master, Temple Worker, and High Priest Group Leader. 

He began work as a computer programmer for IHC ASI in 1984. He went on to be hired as a computer programmer for the IT Department of Murray City in 1995. He worked there until he retired in 2018.
        

He loved his family very dearly. His hobbies included building, aviation, scouting, exotic and antique cars.

Survived by his wife Jani, his son Quinn (Brittney) Wall, Manti, daughter Airety (Brian) Adams, North Salt Lake, daughter Chrysi (Rick) Davis, Atlanta, son Nevin (Alyse) Wall, Riverton, son Vairin (Morgan) Wall, West Jordan, son Bretton (Natalie) Wall, Riverton, daughter Lissa (Justin) Lehman, Provo and 16 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Scott.
