PEREZ-HURCADES, 
CHRISTINA MERCEDES, (53 years of age) died on Wednesday February the 2nd at Hospice in Winter Springs, FL of breast cancer. Christy (as she was known) was living in Winter Springs, FL at the time. She was born on April 15, 1957, in Victoria de Las Tunas, Oriente Cuba. She moved to Brooklyn, New York on October 28, 1960. She grew up in Sarasota, FL, where she attended High school. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and above all spending time with those who meant the most to her, her family, be they immediate or extended. She was the most loving person to all she met under any circumstances, a true angel on earth. Christy is survived by her loving husband Leo Hurcades; her nine year old son, Ryan Hurcades, who was her pride and joy, and her step son, Leonel Hurcades Jr. Christy is also survived by, her mother and father, Cristina Etayo Perez and Pedro Jose Perez Sr., as well as her older brother Pedro Jose Perez Jr.; two younger sisters, Jannette Perez Sadlowski and Julie Clare Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing service will be held at Banfield 
Funeral Home, on Sunday February 6, from 12-8 p.m., and the burial will be on Monday February 7, at 10 a.m., at Old Faith Memorial. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers, in honor of Christy, to the Ryan Hurcades Scholarship Fund.
