Comments:

I was married in 1981 to a gal I met at college (Central Wesleyan College). We have been blessed with 2 daughters, good health, and steady jobs. I have been an accountant for the County of Greenville since 1985 and my wife has been a workers’ comp paralegal for as long. It is not difficult to see which of us has the most stressful job is it? Plus being married to me, I really don’t know how she does it!

These days find me busy with church activities. My family attends Pelham Road Baptist church in Greenville, SC and I invite anyone reading this to check us out at www.pelhamroad.org. My wife and I both teach Sunday School and I head up the bus ministry which is used to pick up many of our senior citizens from the Rolling Greens Retirement Community. Working with the elderly is an absolute hoot! They are so grateful and witty and really full of life once you get to know them. And remember, we'll all be there one day. My wife and I are also long time volunteers for Meals on Wheels. I consider it a blessing to be able to give back to the community and I'm am just glad to be able to do my part.

School Story:

Leaving school with Alan Boggs to go squirrel, duck, or rabbit hunting during study hall while we were supposed to be guarding the parking lot! I am amazed how many of us share stories about cutting classes and getting into stuff. I always thought me and Alan were the exception. apparently not huh?

Tennis occupied most of my spare time in high school. Among my closest friends back then were Al Langston, John Baxter, Barry Wigington, Nick Yarid and George Ellenberg. We used to hang out around the old Southside tennis courts just about everyday. George and I also worked together on a Junior Academy of Science project whose failure has yet to be surpassed by any other project team. Of this there is no doubt. Just ask Mrs. Edens.

Boys state my junior year. How I got selected for that is still a mystery to me. I was never all that bright and I never played sports...except tennis...but I sucked at that so I still don't get it.

Some of you might remember I was into photography back in high school. I took the bulk of the pictures on the '76 slideshows which also explains why many of the pictures are not too good!

It's about time you joined in on the fun. Be sure to check out the In Memory page. We've lost a lot of classmates over the years.

Happy Birthday West! Yes, I admit it, I'm a day late and a dollar short! But I hope it was a good one anyway! I just wished Bobby and Jane belated birthdays as well but used the private message thingy. And now I have no idea where those messages went to! Do I sound like someone who is administering this site or what?! Things keep changing! They need to stop! Billy

At the Class of 76 Birthday Party, Mrs. Rochester and Mrs. Edens wanted a picture taken with their all-time favorite student - me!

Me and John Baxter sitting in Col McConnell's class. This picture was actually used in the yearbook. You can see where the yearbook staff cropped Donna Evatt from the picture. I'm just glad she wasn't cropped from sitting beside me that year!
