Debra LOGANBILL Banka

I grew up in Shawnee, got married and moved to Overland Park. I've been married 43 years and have two grown sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and four beautiful grandsons. I worked in the financial field after graduation up until I started my family in 1986. After 18 years of being a stay-at-home mom I return to work part-time in a medical office. I have now been there over 17 years and I still love it. After taking care of all four parents for up to 12 years, we are now enjoying our Empty Nest, our family and our many friends. With all the ups and downs that life brings, I still consider myself beyond blessed.

I was what you called a very shy "wallflower" all during high school. I wasn't at school any more than I had to be. I worked at the Shawnee Kmart all through high school and that was my major group of friends. After graduation, not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, I began my journey in the financial area. I went from being a lone processor to a bill collector then loan officer, office manager and eventually a VP at a local credit union. I quit work in 1986 to be a stay at home mom. After 18 years I returned to work part-time working in a doctor's office. I have now been there over 17 years and I still love it. My greatest joy in life is my family, friends and my relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Especially during COVID, I have learned to live my life with Faith Over Fear, not compromising my own beliefs and convictions to please others and to remember when I'm struggling to make those hard decisions that "Satan Pressures but the Lord LEADS". If I listen, He will answer. I want to live my life with " no regrets" and I'm thankful for every day that I am given.
