Al was the first person to become my friend when I moved from Philly to Wheaton. Though he had absolutely nothing in common with my old friends from the old neighborhood, he hung in with best of them. He even had a great time hanging out at the bar at the Knights of Columbus! He was also a good sport when my wife would try to fix him up with her girlfriends at work.
It was truly unfortunate that he and I lost touch with each other back around 2000. The Grossmans were very good friends to me and my family when we needed them the most.
Al was a good dude. He deserved a much longer and happier life.
