Stacey Houtkooper Mahlke

Ron and I were married in 1996 and lived in Lemars and then moved to Sioux City for a few years. Moved back to LeMars and have been here ever since. I was a stay at home mom until our youngest was 5. I am now the assistant manager at the Baymont and my husband and I own Tanworld here in LeMars. Our kids keep us pretty busy! Faustin is a Junior at Hinton, Rio is in 6th grade and Sydney is in 2nd grade.

I am really looking forward to our reunion next summer. It will be so much fun catching up with everyone!

I had a love/hate relationship with highschool. Made a lot of bad choices and I think I had more fun than learning anything but so it goes. I truly loved the class of '94. Most of us grew up together from kindergarten on up and we really were all like family! I remember always writing sentences in Mr. Mars' office b/c I was either talking too much or goofing off. I remember being jealous of Susan's glasses in 2nd grade and always asking to wear them. The birthday kisses with bright red lipstick in 3rd grade. 5th grade sucked b/c Ms. Marshal did NOT like me and Carmen!! Could have had something to do with us always playing tag in the classroom and never doign our homework. LOL
Hmmm the only thing I remember about 8th grade was sitting in the front of ... Dang can't remember the teacher's name but I farted in class and it was completely silent b/c we were all studying. Matt was my boyfriend at the time and OMG I was sooooo embarrased! I could have died and could barely bring myself to speak to him. I had a hard enough time sitting next to his table at lunch and letting him see me eat. What the heck was that all about anyway?
Freshman year... Can't really remember anything that sticks out in my head other than getting to go to the prom with Aric Ryan. I loved going to all the games and playing in band believe it or not. It was a great free way to get in the games! LOL I loved going to the old Pizza Ranch after Friday night football games and the dances at the skating rink!! Always had to do the road trip before you went but you had to be careful that they didn't realize you had been road trippin or they wouldn't let you in!! Dang... Got caught a few times. Overall it was a great time and yes I would change many choices I made but for the most part I loved it!!
